IF BMI Result ==
< 20 = underweight
20-25 Normal
25-30 overweight
30 - 40 Grade 1 obese
> 40 Grade 2 obesity
This measurement needs a great deal of care because it can be so misleading.
Some of the most athletic and
fittest people will record a high BMI because muscle always weighs
heavier than fat. If
you have not done
much exercise in the past then it can help but
if you are fit then use
this measurement with extreme caution.
To measure take your weight
in KGS and divide it by your height in metres = result1.
Then divide result1 by
your height in metres again which gives you your BMI.
In conclusion there are far better
ways to determine if you are overweight than BMI.
