Introducing Us to You

Myfahr.com is one of a new generation of sports and fitness sites. Offering access to a wide range of articles, advice and contributions from experts in the field of sports and health science, the website offers a focal point for individuals wishing to improve their fitness levels, lose excess weight, improve their health or recover from sports-related injuries.

As well as help and advice, Myfahr.com features a comprehensive online store offering a variety of helpful tools such as specific training or rehabilitation programmes, which are illustrated where required, food diaries and analysis.

Kate White, the founder of Myfahr.com, is an IT specialist and former top-level hockey player who currently runs a sports therapy business based on two clinics in the London area.

“If there’s one thing I’ve discovered running my clinics,” says Kate, “it’s that people are crying out for a comprehensive, regularly-updated source of information on training, nutrition, rehabilitation and diet". If you want to find out effective ways of warming up before a game of squash, what immediate steps to take in the aftermath of a minor sprain or muscle injury or what the answers are to your training and nutritional questions you don’t want to have to wait until the next time you go to your Gym, speak to your Doctor or wait to see a Specialist. Neither do you want to spend hours surfing the web trying to find information that seems trustworthy.

Myfahr.com is designed to be both reliable and comprehensive, says Kate: “Members can log on, send one of our specialists an email and get all the information they need – and know it’s material they can rely on". The internet is incredibly convenient, but it’s also full of dubious information. When you’re dealing with your health and fitness you want to be sure that what you’re being told is not only reliable but right for you. We’ve got the experience and expertise to deliver the information you need. You don't have to become a member to benefit as you can try our Amazing One Off Free Offer, request a newsletter on your favourite topic(s) or create a Free account and use our Forums which are there to offer support to you.

Kate has handpicked a range of specialists who have their own successful businesses and proven ability. She wants you to benefit from the experience and advice each has to offer. ‘Everyone is an individual and as such we have provided a whole host of different topics that the site cover so that we can provide information solely as per your needs’ says Kate.

There will be a person available to you 16 hours a day as MyFahr has contacts in both the UK and the USA. Kate believes this is very important because once the decision, the call to action has been made, then you do not want to wait around and lose the impetus. ‘Deciding to act is the key component’ says Kate. ‘Once you have made this vital call the motivation and desire is at its peak. Our availability to support you as much as possible in this hour of need is then vital for you to start working towards your goals.’  We are constantly looking at improving the service and will by March 2008 have 24-hour support available as skilled contacts in New Zealand become available.

The site contains a lot of generic information but there is no ‘one size fits all’ hence the need to get a specialised approach as Kate explains ‘There is far too general an approach when it comes to exercise and diet.A ‘one size fits all’ mentality is not right for 99.99% of the population as individuals are special and need to be treated as such. Many people just do not get the results they deserve from their actions purely because the advice is too generic. If you need to lose weight you cannot compare your needs to others as your body composition, your energy levels and your emotional state will be completely unique. Likewise the same is true of any exercise.’

The site will also ‘test drive’ all the latest fitness, diet and exercise equipment crazes and provide you with a thoughtful and balanced report.
